DNS Lookup

Look up DNS records for any domain. Check all common record types at once, or narrow it down to just one.

How it works

Each record type you pick is queried directly against DNS. When you choose “ALL,” the tool queries every common record type at once. It only shows the types that actually returned data. For example, a domain with no CAA record simply won't show a CAA section.

FAQ

What do these record types mean?
A/AAAA records point a domain to an IPv4/IPv6 address. MX records list its mail servers. TXT records hold text data, often used for domain verification and email authentication like SPF/DKIM. NS records list its authoritative name servers. CNAME is an alias for another domain. SOA holds admin info about the DNS zone. CAA controls which certificate authorities are allowed to issue SSL certificates for it.
Why do I only see some record types in the results?
Only record types that actually have data set up are shown. Most domains only have a handful (commonly A, NS, and MX). It's completely normal not to have every type.
Does this show cached or live results?
Each lookup queries DNS fresh for that request. Nothing is cached on this site. That said, the DNS system itself does use caching at several points between here and the domain's authoritative servers.
What does the "DNS Server" option change?
It picks which public resolver answers the query — Google, Cloudflare, Quad9, or OpenDNS — instead of the site's default. Try it if a domain uses DNS-based load balancing or geo-routing and you want to compare how different resolvers see it. It does not simulate querying from a different country. Every option is still sent from the same server location, just to a different resolver.
