Looking up your IP address…
How it works
This tool reads the IP address your browser's request came from at the RouteLearn server. Then it runs a reverse DNS lookup on that address to see if it has a hostname attached.
FAQ
- Is this my "real" IP address?
- This is the public IP address your connection shows to the internet. It's the address the RouteLearn server sees when you connect to this site. If you're behind a VPN, proxy, or your mobile carrier's shared network, this is that service's address. It may not match the address assigned to your own device or home router.
- Why does the hostname sometimes say "None found"?
- Not every IP address has a reverse DNS (PTR) record set up. Residential and mobile connections often have none at all. That's normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong.
- Is my IP address logged?
- This tool just reads standard connection info for your single request. It is not stored or logged for tracking.
